Create a signature coaching program that people will love
Nobody buys happiness, healing, fulfillment or purpose
You fought hard to get here.
You’re finally on the other side of your struggles, and now see how everything you went through prepared you to help others. And — thanks to the Internet, you can get paid well to do it.
For people like us — creatives, healers, free thinkers — turning our life lessons into a business is part of our soul’s purpose.
So today’s blog is part soul, part strategy to help you create a signature coaching program so you can launch your business.
If you’re new here, my name is Suzanne, and I built a successful emotional healing course and coaching business that attracted a combined audience of 50,000 and generated multiple six figures online.
I now help women monetize their healing journeys through a freedom-based online business.
By the end of this blog, you’ll no longer feel confused or stuck in indecision about your coaching program.
You’ll walk away with clarity on how to take your many ideas and shape them into a powerful signature offer.
And more importantly, you’ll experience the mindset shifts you need to stop spinning in self-doubt and finally move into aligned action.
This isn’t about following rules that don’t make sense to you. It’s about tuning in to your intuition, and building a business that’s an extension of your soul.
Before we dive into practical steps, here’s a REALLY important mindset shift.
People can get really hung up on the idea of: this is my big signature offer that I’m going to build my entire business and life around, and it’s going to make me rich and famous and help so many people.
That would be great, but it’s A LOT of pressure to put on yourself.
How I like to think of my offers is, what do I want to create NOW? What feels most fun and exciting? What do I want to talk about and help people with?
Your work is always evolving.
You can create an offer, love it and keep selling it.
But you can also create an offer, not enjoy it, and create a new one.
I don’t recommend forcing this process.
Create from where you are, and let that be good enough.
So with that, let’s dive in —
Step 1: Think in transformations. Start with your own.
As a spiritual entrepreneur, you need to train your mind to think in terms of problems and solutions.
By this I mean the journey from the pain someone is experiencing to the beautiful life they want to experience.
Your program, your work, is the bridge between those worlds. You’re not selling a program. You’re selling a transformation.
For example, one of my clients helps women heal their nervous system, but the truth is — nobody buys nervous system healing.
Or happiness. Fulfillment. Or even purpose.
People buy the journey of going from stressed out because of their demanding, obnoxious boss to sauntering into a meeting feeling feminine, grounded and powerful, and succeeding without anxiety.
Or whatever result you help people create in their lives.
When you’re a spiritual coach, this might be less tangible, but you can still speak to a deep longing.
This is where my expertise comes in because I made my money selling emotional healing, not business coaching, like a lot of other people.
For example, one of my most popular courses was a 40-day yoga program called The Big Shift.
The outcome I sold was a fresh start in life. I told people how doing a 40-day practice helped me release decades of repressed emotion and find the work I was meant to do.
Or with my self-love course, which was also very popular, I talked about how I’d spent my whole life feeling like a passenger in someone else’s life, but learning to love myself helped me return to my sparkly self who didn’t care about fitting in boxes.
So people’s deep desires might not ALWAYS be as tangible as make money, succeed in your career, or lose weight…
but you always want to think about helping people achieve a deep, heartfelt desire.
To recap: get clear on YOUR biggest transformation, and think about how you can help others achieve that same result.
» I’d love to hear from you! Comment below and let me know the transformation you want to help people create.
Step 2: List everything someone needs to know or do to get from Point A to B
The best way to approach this is to grab a pen and paper.
Think back to how YOU made this transformation. What were the biggest milestones on your journey? What do people need to know or do to create this transformation for themselves?
For example, most of my programs as an emotional healer started with some form of helping people accept the present and process their emotions.
I then moved to helping people clarify their desires before helping them take action on that clarity.
I always liked to end with a module on connecting daily actions to a higher purpose or God. That was the basic flow my courses followed.
Now, as a business coach, my programs include more tangible things like helping my clients create offers and develop marketing strategies, clarify their gifts and understand how to communicate their value so people actually buy their programs.
But there’s still a lot of inner work, like feeling comfortable selling, valuing your gifts, believing in yourself and creating confidence.
Sometimes these things are interwoven in the practical modules, and other times they stand alone as a solo lesson.
Business is personal development on steroids, and a lot of it is emotional healing and overcoming limiting beliefs.
And by the way, if you’d like my brand new PDF guide on Overcoming Limiting Beliefs as a spiritual entrepreneur, download that here.
Step 3: Outline each module
Now that you have the main steps written down, flesh out what each one needs to include.
I like to do this by creating a page in my Notes app, and letting ideas come to me over a few weeks. I find that as I sit with an idea or program, I see random videos, articles or have conversations that spark ideas.
Creating a signature coaching program is kind of like giving birth.
(I’ve never given birth, but just speaking biologically!)
You conceive of the idea, and then enter this gestation process where God or the Universe gives you ideas and information to include in the program.
Your clients have prayed for this solution, and now you’re giving it to them. So give yourself some time, and let it percolate.
It’s really helpful to work with people 1:1 as you develop your program.
You don’t have to — I actually started creating courses way before I began coaching, but working with people helps you understand your target audience, what they struggle with, and exactly what they need to achieve their goals.
Step 4: Decide on the program format
How many weeks or months?
Course or coaching?
Group, 1:1, or self-paced?
Video modules, calls, PDFs, or asynchronous, meaning you exchange voice or written messages with your clients, and DON’T have live interaction?
A lot of this will depend on how you like to deliver material.
There are no rules.
Remember — your job is to help people create a result.
That means you are the star of the show, and must deliver the material in a way that works best for YOU.
If you express yourself best through writing, your clients will get the best result through your writing. Same with video, audio or anything else you can imagine.
(All of my first courses were daily PDFs with Facebook groups.)
Whatever the format — my personal recommendation is to NOT pre-write / record material and instead deliver it as you go. Otherwise you’ll probably procrastinate and never sell your course.
Pre-selling allows you to sell, make money, and THEN deliver the course.
Plus, I find that being in the live energy of a group gives me downloads of more specific information to include.
Don’t overthink this!
Anything that says you can’t do a certain thing is a limiting belief. God gave you the idea. Now it’s your turn to believe in yourself and go for it!
So feel into — what does your ideal method of delivery look like? And know that’s good enough.
Step 5: Name it
Some people like descriptive names that speak to a result. Like “Learn to Meditate” or something. I find that a little boring.
I like to come up with fun names that evoke an emotion (at least I try!).
Some things to consider:
Alliteration is good — like Monetize Your Magic, a group program I’m developing.
Names that speak to the identity someone wants to have — like wealthy or happy or relaxed, are good.
So are names that signal transformation. Like The Big Shift, my yoga program.
You want the name to convey a sense of — this is the moment everything changes.
So brainstorm — what are some good names?
Step 6: Price it
Sometimes people feel pressure to price high because they want to make a lot of money or they think they should price high.
Alternatively, some people will price really low because they want to keep it “affordable.”
Here’s what I think:
First, price is relative. $30 to someone who doesn’t value your program will be too much while someone else would happily pay $3,000.
The important thing with pricing is to be where you are. If you’re still gaining confidence in your results, there’s nothing wrong with pricing a little lower. You can always increase with time, as you gain testimonials and experience.
I think it’s unethical to charge a high amount when you’re an unproven coach with an unproven method.
A lot of business coaches will say — sell $5k packages as a new coach! But unless you already have experience teaching that subject, to me that’s insane.
Creating courses and coaching is a skill. Just because you CAN charge thousands of dollars for an offer doesn’t mean you should.
That said, I definitely believe in charging commensurate with the transformation and skill of the coach.
Your gifts are incredibly valuable and deserve massive compensation.
Too many healers undercharge, but you deserve to earn abundantly for your powerful work!
And it’s IMPORTANT for people to invest in themselves. That’s part of the process, whether you’re healing your heart or growing your business.
This too is an intuitive thing. Ask yourself: what’s the price meant to be?
Trust your gut. You can play with different numbers. Notice what numbers feel good in your body, and which create tension or heavy feelings.
If you have any limiting beliefs around charging for your program, download this free guide to overcome them.

This was insane!!!! 😍🥹 I’m a medical student and I’m more interested in prevention and integrative approaches more than treatment and whatever we learn in medical school! Anyone who I talked to, any founder, any leader, any doctor, they would tell me that this is too abstract, and far away from reality, or as you said not tangible enough. I’m struggling to find out ways to help people both change their mindset and lifestyle and build it with their own rhythm around their own purpose ( or Ikigai). I love to use different cultures, ancient wisdom and modern science to get there. But, it’s not even a year from when I dared to speak this in public ( substack and telegram), so I’m full of questions and no answers seem to be popping up. Soooo, thank you 😍❤️❤️❤️ I’ll continue learning from you. Loveed it loved it looooved it😌🌿🍵✨ thank youuuuu🙌🏻❤️
Thank you, i really needed to read this today as am in the midst of writing the copy for the website for my new coaching business. I'm slowly learning to trust my gut and not listen to other people's expectations of what I should be doing.
