Your hesitation is boring

I had the most frustrating, annoying week of “discovery” calls — they even sound lame.

Why do I do them? My most successful clients don’t need calls. They say yes, no hesitation, after just a few emails.

Anyway, these smart, talented, high-achieving women were totally imprisoned by uncertainty and hesitation.

I left these calls feeling SO annoyed.

Then, I stopped to wonder — what within ME is being triggered? What within ME created this situation?

I realized I felt so annoyed at THEIR hesitation because it mirrored my OWN hesitation.

I’m annoyed with myself for not fully trusting myself, for being who I think I need to be, for worrying about what I think I need to do to create what I want.

Forgetting that monetizing your purpose is about following soul, expressing yourself unapologetically, and building your business around THAT.

But instead, we judge ourselves, worry whether we’re good enough, and in the space of that doubt, we freeze.

That’s how we fail.

Before burning out, I was wild, and it was amazing.

I said insane things online, had SO many unsubscribes, but also made so much money, attracted the best people, had the best clients, and it all felt so easy.

But then I got canceled.

Some dumb social justice warrior on Instagram bated me into a conversation (why do they always ask with faux sincerity when their ultimate goal is to entrap you?).

She then determined to make it her goal in life to ruin my reputation. She left negative reviews on my Amazon books that took years to get down.

I had to email Jeff Bezos himself. (True story. His email account is monitored by staffers and the regular customer service channels just weren’t getting the job done.)

I may have a fiery, brash, blunt, unapologetic side, but I’m also deeply sensitive, and seeing my community shrink instead of grow, getting hate from strangers for absolutely nothing — it took a toll my wellbeing, and my already strained nervous system.

I don’t mean to paint myself as a victim.

I detest victim mindset and believe in taking total responsibility for our lives, but I’m just being honest about how I felt.

So when I returned online in 2023 after a health sabbatical, I was determined to be nice and kind and loving — the super spiritual version of me that first emerged before fully finding my fire and message and purpose.

But the truth is, that version of me is watered down. Playing it safe.

Boring.

She doesn’t really stand for anything.

She doesn’t activate or compel people to action.

She’s “inspiring.”

Inspiring is “follow your dreams!” quotes on Pinterest that you look at while on lunch break at the office job that kills your soul.

How cute.

How nice.

How inspiring!

Maybe one day.

But living your purpose, if you’re really going to do it, isn’t about being SO INSPIRING or lying to yourself with “maybe one day.”

Living your purpose is also about telling yourself to shut the F up, get over yourself, and do what you need to do.

Maybe that sounds harsh, but that’s the exact conversation I had with myself last night before bed.

Because I can feel my inner fire burning again, pressing up against this delicate, gentle exterior, and I can feel myself wishing that to get where I want to go, I could keep being gentle, nice Suzanne when the truth is, that’s not all of who I am.

I judge the most interesting, passionate parts of me as too much, too mean.

I worry that if I am who I really am, people will abandon me, but the truth is, filing parts of myself down to fit in means I abandon myself.

If you want to live your purpose and monetize it, make millions, create generational wealth, and have the freedom to do what you want, when you want, where you want, you’re going to have to get the F over yourself too, and decide you’re gonna get it.

You’re not rich from your soul’s work yet because you judge the most interesting, confronting parts of yourself — the parts that make people move.

You’re filing yourself down to fit into a box of normal, trying to be liked, and that’s why you hesitate, because you know deep down that to create the life you’re meant for, you’re going to have to piss people off.

Not intentionally, but that’s what inevitably happens when you’re being fully you.

If you’re stuck in doubt, fear or hesitation, here are some fiery mindset shifts to help you get over yourself and do the damn thing.

🌹You’re looking for certainty you’re making the right choice, but certainty is something inside of you. You need to act quickly, from the gut, and trust yourself to succeed. Your hesitancy is poisoning your potential.

🌹 You’re not making the money you want because you’re hiding - not because you need more patience. You’re going after what you think is easy or got sold on some “proven strategy” because you don’t want the world to see who you really are. And until you do the inner work to act more boldly, you’ll continue to stay stuck in a job that makes you feel dead inside.

🌹 You’re worried about wasting time and money, not realizing that you’re going to waste time AND money along the way, and you will survive. You will be okay. In fact, you’re wasting time now by wallowing in indecision. You’re wasting money now by spending it on meaningless things instead of investing in who you want to become.

🌹 You worry whether you’ll succeed, not realizing that success is entirely up to you. You’ll succeed when you become the version of yourself capable of succeeding. Stop giving your power away.

🌹 You’re afraid to fail, but you can handle it. Dig deeper. Success is created on top of a pile of failures. True failure is allowing fear to control you.

🌹 You’ll make a wrong move sometimes. It’s part of the process. Get used to it. If you want guaranteed success before you move, have fun dying without ever doing what you truly wanted.

Your soul-aligned business will prosper when you get over yourself, dig deeper, take responsibility for your outcomes, and decide to go all in. Otherwise, enjoy your “one day” life.

It’s time to stop hesitating and decide you’re going to do whatever it takes to live the life you were born for.

If you’re done with excuses, I have two spaces left to work with me 1:1.

Reply to this email or DM me and I’ll send details of how my program Creative Genius will help you pull out the fire from the depths of your soul and monetize it!

For those who would rather die than live another day not living the life you were born for.

If you’re not ready for 1:1, join the Mindset Membership. It’s only $8 a month, but you’ll learn how to coach yourself in the ways you need to make millions with your purpose work.

This week, you’ll reconnect to the parts of yourself you’ve watered down so you can go all in on being who you really are, and monetize the hell out it.
