I've been very lucky to find my purpose and a job that aligns with it early in life. I realise I'm lucky in this and quite possibly it's pretty rare. I've seen so many people around me though who keep going in a dead end job they don't enjoy, it drains them (and to be fair often it drains the people around them as well) but they can't go anywhere because the money is what keeps them. It's so hard for them and so scary to go out and find your purpose.

Ah yes, the golden handcuffs. The financial aspect can be difficult to face! It is scary to make a change, but I also think that when people don't work jobs they like, it slowly kills them. Even if someone doesn't quit their job, I think it's so important for people to find meaning and purpose somewhere in their life. Your life is a perfect example. Even beyond your job, you've found meaning and purpose in an unconventional, off-the-grid-life. It's inspirational!
