You don’t need a new strategy. You need a new identity.
You won’t succeed if you expect to fail
You won’t succeed if you expect to fail.
And the truth is, most people expect to fail, even when they’re taking action.
I saw it right away -
Her call to action basically said: “sign up for a free call, and I’ll help for an hour. If you want more coaching, I’ll share details, but if not, that’s fine. Just please fill out a survey.”
What her energy said was: “I expect rejection, and am totally prepared to give you an hour of my time — all my heart, soul, energy and wisdom, and it’s completely fine if you don’t even want to hear my offer. Just please tell me I’m good enough.”
This isn’t a judgment. I’ve been there too. But what I’ve found is…
Your self-perception is destroying your results.
If you see yourself as someone whose gifts aren't valuable, someone who wants too much or who struggles to achieve her goals — that self-perception will bleed through every single word you write.
It will impact every decision and your results will reflect who you think you are.
That’s why mindset is more important than strategy for spiritual entrepreneurs.
Because any strategy will work if you have self-belief and the identity of a successful woman, and no strategy will work if you lack those things.
(We had a DM convo about my coaching, and she thanked me for the insight. So my perception was accurate.)
While my special gifts include sensing energy and seeing the limiting beliefs underneath what you say, even your prospective clients will subconsciously pick up on how certain and clear you are in your gifts.
Limited identities manifest in other ways, too.
1. Procrastination
People struggle with consistently creating content, hold back on creating offers, underprice those offers, or don’t sell as boldly as they want to.
This is a mindset issue.
When you don’t think you can make money with your purpose…
When you doubt your abilities or gifts, or even see yourself as ‘someone who is inconsistent’…
your subconscious will keep you in line with that identity, instead of helping you create results in line with the identity of the successful woman.
2. Shiny-object chasing
The core mindset problem underneath chasing shiny objects, buying every course, downloading every free guide, attending every free masterclass…
Is looking for certainty outside of yourself.
You see yourself as someone who doesn’t have what it takes, who lacks ability, and who needs someone to create success for you.
While sure, you might not have all the skills you need right now, there’s a huge difference between learning from an empowered — “this is my next right step,” place versus a disempowered, “maybe this is the thing that will finally work,” place.
Taking action from the latter energy only leaves you more confused and unconfident.
Instead, get clear on your soul-aligned strategy from within, and then do the work to get good at it.
3. Forcing yourself into strategies that don’t feel good
When you have the identity of someone who struggles or who isn’t capable of success, you’ll go against your intuition and blame yourself when it doesn’t work.
You’ll try to cram your multi-dimensional magic into cookie-cutter strategies like certain content or offer frameworks, sales strategies like cold DMs, or focus on going viral instead of deepening into your core message.
The actual problem is your identity. Start thinking of yourself as smart, capable and equipped to succeed. “I am someone who trusts my intuition and succeeds in my own way.”
When you believe it’s true, it becomes true.
God gave you a purpose. He also gave you a path to monetize it.
4. Confusion around your mission, message, niche or next steps.
The truth is, you ALWAYS know, but cracks in identity create layers of confusion.
Just the other day, I met with an amazing new client for a Main Character Money intensive, where I helped her map out her offer, main messaging and identify powerful, core stories that will emotionally activate her ideal client to purchase.
This woman was SO full of passion, but she debated between two ideal clients, and I IMMEDIATELY saw that she was choosing based on the desire to save a past version of herself.
I asked, and she thanked me for picking up on that, and immediately knew her true, ideal client. The stories poured out of her, and it was so fun helping her organize that into cohesive marketing messaging.
But without working with someone like me who can see the real reason why you’re confused or uncertain or struggling to get results, you’ll make choices based on self-concepts that don’t match the woman you’re becoming.
The right question to solve most business problems is — who are you BEING?
Most people (and coaches) focus on WHAT to do differently without ever stopping to ask — who are you being while you’re doing that thing?
Are you connected to your value and purpose?
Are you connected to your mission and vision?
Are you connected to the knowing deep inside of you?
And what would change if you were being the most confident, capable version of yourself right now?
That’s identity.
(I go really deep into this in the Becoming Your Future Self challenge.)
Think how much your life will change when you start showing up thinking:
🌹 Of course, you’re going to succeed.
🌹 Of course, you’re capable.
🌹 Of course, your gifts matter.
🌹 Of course, you have what it takes.
You’re ALREADY that woman.
She already lives inside of you.
And when you consistently take action from that place, that’s when your dreams become inevitable.
All the love,
Suzanne
